My love for design is rooted in my identity, which embodies the intersection between creativity and practicality. Before I found the perfect middle ground of product design, the years I spent pursuing either bioengineering or the arts allowed me to hone the skills necessary to becoming a good designer: research, innovation, creativity, and an artistic expression.
My dual nature likely stems from my juxtaposing American and Japanese background, which has shaped me into the multicultural person I am today. I pride myself on being highly analytical and detail-oriented, and my drive to continuously learn and grow; not only as a designer, but also as a person.
I do what I love, and I love what I do.
I will never stop creating, designing, and inventing. At my core, I am driven by my desire to help people and make people happy. I always keep this goal in mind and hope to make meaningful impacts through my designs.

MY DESIGN PRINCIPLES
MY DESIGN PRINCIPLES
デザイン原則
デザイン原則
Smart Simplicity
I create designs that are deceptively simple – the kind that feel effortless to users but are rooted in deep thought and intention.
Strategic Thinking
I solve design problems holistically, with a sharp understanding of business, product, and human behavior.
Behavior-Informed Design
My background in cognitive science lets me deeply understand habits, motivations, and friction points, and design accordingly.
